Accreditation

The University of Mount Olive is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award the associate, baccalaureate, and masters degrees. The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration undergraduate programs – Accounting, Bachelor of Business Administration, Business Analytics, Business Management, Computer Information Systems, Healthcare Management, and Human Resource Management – in the Tillman School of Business are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), 7007 College Blvd. Suite 420 Overland Park, KS 66211, (913) 339-9366.  The Tillman School of Business is pursuing accreditation from ACBSP for the BSBA in Finance and the BSBS in Marketing in accordance with the prescribed process for new undergraduate programs.

The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration undergraduate programs and the Master of Business Administration (MBA) in the Tillman School of Business are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), 7007 College Blvd. Suite 420 Overland Park, KS 66211, (913) 339-9366.

The Human Resource Management program is endorsed by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

The BSN and MSN degree programs at the University of Mount Olive are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, 655 K Street NW, Suite 750, Washington, DC 20001, 202-887-6791.

The Master of Education program is approved by the North Carolina State Board of Education.

UMO’s M.S. in Counseling Program is in the CACREP accreditation application process and is aligned with the CACREP 2016 Standards.  However, the Program is currently not CACREP accredited.

UMO’s M.S. in Counseling Program Clinical Mental Health Counseling specialty are approved as Criteria C programs for licensure as a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS) in the State of North Carolina.
