Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges

The University of Mount Olive is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award the associate, baccalaureate, and masters degrees. The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges is the regional body for the accreditation of degree-granting higher education institutions in the Southern states.

Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs

Founded in 1988, the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) is a global business education accrediting body with an accreditation process based on the Baldrige Education Criteria for Performance Excellence. By evaluating aspects of leadership, strategic planning, stakeholder relationships, quality of academic programs, faculty credentials, and educational support, ACBSP assesses whether or not business programs offer a rigorous educational experience and commitment to continuous quality improvement.

The Tillman School of Business is proud to have earned specialized accreditation for the following programs by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP):

Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration in Accounting

Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration in Computer Information Systems

Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration in Business Management

Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration in Healthcare Management

Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration in Human Resource Management

ACBSP is dedicated to improving the quality of business schools and programs around the world, and ultimately to improving the practice of business in every industry around the world. ACBSP offers programs, services, and an accreditation process uniquely focused on teaching excellence and student learning outcomes. Accredited schools are required to go through scheduled rigorous peer review in order to maintain their accreditation.

Analytics, the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), and the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs are pending accreditation by ACBSP, in accordance with prescribed accreditation processes for new programs.

Our new Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and online Bachelor of Arts programs designed for adults will be eligible for business accreditation is 2021.

Memberships and Endorsements

The Healthcare Management program is a member of the Association of University Programs in Health Administration.

The Human Resource Management program is endorsed by the Society for Human Resource Management.
