BS History
The Bachelor of Science in History helps students look to the past as they study historical facts and historiography while combining use of in-depth research, critical thinking, and writing skills to help us understand the past, make sense of the present, and hopefully serve as a guide for the future.
Students will choose one of two tracks – history or social studies education:
- A degree in history prepares students to enter fields such as teaching, writing, research, politics and government services, or for those who desire to apply to law school.
- A degree in social studies education prepares students to teach at the middle grades or secondary school level.
