Education
Homegrown Teacher Academy Scholarship
- Must live in Duplin County
- April 1 priority deadline
- $3000 freshmen and sophomore years
- $6000 junior and senior years
- Must have a 3.5 cumulative GPA for admission; must keep a 3.2 cumulative GPA to keep the scholarship -Must participate in weekly scholarship meetings and other activities
- Must teach in Duplin County for 4 years after graduation to meet funding requirements

Music
University of Mount Olive Music Merit Awards
- Must be a full-time UMO student
- Audition is required
- Amount of award determined by music faculty based on audition
- Award dependent on the need of the music program
- Student must register for and actively participate in a UMO ensemble
- Student must demonstrate exceptional musicianship skills
- Student is expected to be responsible, have a positive attitude and display excellent professional promise
Ensemble Scholarships
- Must be a full-time UMO student
- Audition is required
- Amount of award determined by music faculty based on audition
- Award dependent on the need of the ensemble
- Student must register for and actively participate in a UMO ensemble
- Take an applied course during the semester(s) of the award
- Awards range from $500 to $2,500 for the academic year
Charles and Margenette A. Hinnant Music Scholarship
- Must be a full-time UMO student
- Audition is required
- Up to $3,000 renewable annually up to four years
- Demonstrate outstanding talent, academic ability, and good character
- Letter of recommendation
- Maintain a 3.0 GPA in music courses overall
Warren Vocal Scholarship
- Must be a full-time UMO student
- $500 per year
- Maintain a 5 GPA in music courses overall
McRae Trumpet Scholarship
- Must be a full-time UMO student

Warren Instrumental Scholarship

Agriculture
All University of Mount Olive Agriculture scholarships are available to full-time UMO students studying agriculture. Each scholarship applicant is evaluated on personal, scholastic, and extra-curricular achievements. Each scholarship recipient is expected to maintain active UMO Collegiate FFA membership and participate in at least two community service projects and one fundraiser each semester in addition to other scholarship conditions listed in the agreement. AgCarolina Farm Credit Scholarship
- Reside of one of the following counties: Beaufort, Bertie, Camden, Carteret, Chowan, Craven, Currituck, Dare, Edgecombe, Franklin, Granville, Gates, Greene, Halifax, Hertford, Hyde, Johnston, Jones, Lenoir, Martin, Nash, North Hampton, Onslow, Pamlico, Pasquotank, Perquimans, Pitt, Tyrell, Vance, Wake, Washington, Warren, Wayne, and Wilson
- Must be a child or grandchild of an AgCarolina Farm Credit Customer
- Graduating High School Senior who will enroll in a four-year Agricultural program at the University of Mount Olive or a current student enrolled in the program
- Possess a GPA of 3.0 or better
- Recipients will be selected based on academic achievement, leadership characteristics and future plans for enhancing the quality of life for Eastern North Carolina rural residents and their communities.
Carolina Farm Credit Scholarship
- Reside in one of the following North Carolina counties: Alamance, Alexander, Alleghany, Anson, Ashe, Avery, Buncombe, Burke, Cabarrus, Caldwell, Caswell, Catawba, Chatham, Cherokee, Clay, Cleveland, Davidson, Davie, Durham, Forsyth, Gaston, Graham, Guilford, Haywood, Henderson, Iredell, Jackson, Lee, Lincoln, Macon, Madison, McDowell, Mecklenburg, Mitchell, Montgomery, Moore, Orange, Person, Polk, Randolph, Richmond, Rockingham, Rowan, Rutherford, Stanly, Stokes, Surry, Swain, Transylvania, Union, Watauga, Wilkes, Yadkin, and Yancey.

- In order to be considered for this scholarship, three individual letters of recommendation and a high school or college transcript must also be submitted.
NC Peanut Growers Scholarship
- Recipients must demonstrate strong evidence of personal integrity, moral character, good citizenship, academic promise and a sincere commitment to attaining an education.
- Priority preference for qualification include:
- Student from a farming background
- Family engaged in peanut production or processing
Collegiate FFA Scholarship

MetLife Foundation Scholarship

R. Flake Shaw Scholarship
- Amount: $4,000 Per year, for 4 years
- Eligible Student: Incoming freshmen with the intention to pursue a career in agriculture or an agriculturally-related field. The student needs to display financial need, satisfactory grades, an evident understanding of the agricultural and/or agribusiness community, and has displayed leadership potential. Preference is given to Farm-Bureau members

- Eligible Student: Students who are enrolled in and attending an accredited NC College or university, including 2-year programs. Eligible students must be majoring in environmental and natural resources conservation and management including the areas of wildlife, fisheries, forestry, conservation or the environment
Anthony "Tony" W. LaFetra Scholarship

- Eligible Student: Students must be a graduating high school senior or full-time undergraduate student who will be enrolled in a two- or four-year institution for the 2024-2025 school year
