Offered through the University of Mount Olive’s Robert L. Tillman School of Business, the Master of Business Administration degree program prepares graduates with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in an ever-evolving business community. Year-round programs in both seated and online formats provide students flexibility and convenience. Using over 25 years of experience in non-traditional education, the University of Mount Olive designed the MBA program to provide a framework conducive to both academic and professional success while promoting a healthy work-life balance.
UMO offers admission to year-round seated and online formats with opportunities to start in spring, summer, and fall terms. Each student is assigned a personal admissions representative, program advisor, and financial aid advisor for support from their first course through graduation.
- Seated option – Offered face-to-face in the evening at the University of Mount Olive’s Main Campus.
- Online option – Offered 100% online and asynchronous, i.e., students do not have to be at any one place at any one time.
The MBA program can be completed in as few as three semesters. The program is ideal for individuals and business professionals who plan to advance their skills and learn the tools necessary to be successful in the global business economy. UMO’s dedicated faculty provides up-to-date information that allows managers and other professionals to advance in their careers while introducing a wide range of opportunities to our graduates.
The 36 credit-hour MBA program provides students with diverse knowledge in accounting, management, information systems, finance, economics, business law, and ethics. In a culminating, two-course capstone experience in Strategic Management, students integrate and apply knowledge learned throughout the program. The common thread of ethical decision-making skills emphasized throughout our program provides a taste of the history of the University of Mount Olive, a character of values and integrity.
Healthcare management professionals need to be seen as highly qualified candidates to secure an administrative position or to advance in a healthcare setting. An MBA: Healthcare Management degree sets the healthcare professional apart in a highly competitive industry. The 39 credit hour UMO MBA: Healthcare Management degree develops a student’s proficiency in healthcare management and establishes the requisite knowledge to seamlessly merge into conversations more specific to economics, finance, marketing, and accounting. Graduates become versatile and marketable in a relatively short period of time with the possibility of completing the MBA Healthcare Management track in as few as four semesters.
Most courses are seven weeks in length. Students enjoy a one-week break during the middle of each fifteen-week semester.

The seated evening program allows students take to take one course at a time, in the evening at University of Mount Olive’s Main campus. Students may complete their degrees efficiently and conveniently in as few as two years.
The online MBA program allows students to take courses 100% online. In addition, students have the option to complete their coursework at the time and place that is convenient. This program is available in a one-year accelerated or two-year option.

Applicants must have:
- A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution;
- A minimum 3.0 GPA, or a minimum 2.5 GPA with 5 or more years of professional work experience.
