Assistant Director for the School of Agriculture and Biological Science and the Lois G. Britt Agribusiness Center


The University of Mount Olive has an immediate for an Assistant Director for the  School of Agriculture and Biological Science and the Lois G. Britt Agribusiness Center.

 Responsibilities include:

  •  Work independently, as assigned, to support the Center’s outreach and development projects as well as the needs of the Dean’s office. Workload distribution will be coordinated by the Director of the Agribusiness Center
  • Assist in all aspects of the outreach and development activities of the Lois G. Britt Agribusiness Center and serve in the place of the director when deemed appropriate by the director.
  • Support efforts of the director to pursue funding opportunities for projects directed by the Agribusiness Center and the School of Agriculture and Biological Sciences.
  • Assist with strategic planning and budgeting
  • Responsible for SABS and ABC budget maintenance for all accounts in conjunction with appropriate University departments and grants, including check requests, purchase order requests, invoice submissions, and other financial-related tasks
  • Develop and update marketing materials for outreach and recruitment efforts to include photos, printed, and website materials, and social media.
  • Develop new reports and update existing reports as required for institutional purposes and grant reporting
  • Assist as necessary to develop and sustain partnerships with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Will work with director on the development and maintenance of facilities and projects which will improve the learning environment for students and outreach efforts to the agricultural community
  • Serve as a team member to accomplish the mission, goals, and daily responsibilities of the dean’s office, the Agribusiness Center, and the University

      Minimum Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s Degree and at least two years of experience is required; Agricultural-related Master’s Degree is preferred
  • This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication and computer skills, and the ability to work independently as well as with a team
