Healthcare Management
The Tillman School of Business is seeking applicants for a full-time (9.5 month) Healthcare Management faculty position beginning Fall 2023 (August 1, 2023 start date). The desired candidate will have academic qualifications to teach diverse undergraduate and graduate courses in our Business Administration – Healthcare Management curricula. The ideal candidate would possess relevant business work experience and a background that allows for curriculum development and work updating the current Healthcare Management program. In addition to highly effective teaching and advising, faculty members must become engaged with students and colleagues through various student activities, organizations and/or research.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses delivered in both seated and online formats. Candidates should demonstrate success as an instructor in the application of innovative and hands-on teaching techniques. Applicants should also possess experience and/or certificates that allow the application of principles and theories related to the field of study. Candidates will be encouraged to network with local business and organizations to establish internship opportunities for students. The successful candidate will contribute to the mission of the Tillman School of Business and the University of Mount Olive Covenant. The candidate will participate in Tillman School of Business activities including collegiate club activities, service to the university, and community involvement.
Qualifications
A master degree in a relevant discipline and industry/professional experience is required. A Ph.D. or equivalent in the teaching discipline, specifically a doctorate in Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Management, Healthcare Information Management, Healthcare Education, Public Health, Health Sciences, or a related field from a regionally accredited college/university is preferred.
