This position is for a part-time Faculty member located at the Northeast Regional School of Biotechnology and Agriscience (NERSBA) at the Jamesville, NC campus. Faculty Member shall report directly to the Department Chair and be further supervised by the Assistant/Associate Dean (as applicable), Dean, and the Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Responsibilities include:

Instruction

Serve as subject matter expert; create and maintain a Moodle course shell; responsible for content accuracy, syllabus currency, and content availability

Administrative

Serve as the point of contact; student recruiter; student advisor for students attending The Ag Academy at NERSBA

Serve as liaison with NERSBA School staff and administration.

Serve as the point of contact and coordinator for all facilities.

Serve as “Ag Academy” curriculum advisor to UMO faculty and administration.

Serve as Board and community representative for “NERSBA Ag Academy” and the University.

Contribute as needed to the academic profession through presentations, publications, organizational memberships, and other professional activities. These contributions will be verified with the annual review

Participate in other projects as mutually agreed to by the Chair, Assistant Dean, or Dean

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in agricultural education or a related field and at least five years of experience in education at the high school or higher education
