Business Management – Faculty

Description

The Tillman School of Business is seeking applicants for a full-time (9.5 month) business management faculty
position beginning Spring 2023 (January 3, 2023 start date). The desired candidate will have academic
qualifications to teach diverse undergraduate and graduate courses in our Business Administration – Management
curricula. The ideal candidate would possess relevant business work experience and possess a background in
logistics, supply chain management, analytics, or a related field. In addition to highly effective teaching and
advising, faculty members must become engaged with students and colleagues through various student activities,
organizations, and/or research.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses delivered in both
seated and online formats. Candidates should demonstrate success as an instructor in the application of
innovative and hands-on teaching techniques. Applicants should also possess experience and/or certificates that
allow the application of principles and theories related to the field of study. Candidates will be encouraged to
network with local businesses and organizations to establish internship opportunities for students.

The successful candidate will contribute to the mission of the Tillman School of Business and the University of
Mount Olive Covenant. The candidate will participate in Tillman School of Business activities including collegiate
club activities, service to the university, and community involvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must have an earned doctorate from a regionally accredited institution in a business-related field (e.g.,
management, supply chain management, or logistics). ABD candidates may be considered in conjunction with a
definitive timeline to complete the doctorate. The applicant must have taken a minimum of 18 graduate hours in
the discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Ph.D. or equivalent in the teaching discipline, specifically business management, logistics, supply chain
management, and/or analytics.

Compensation and Academic Rank:

Commensurate with education and experience. UMO offers a competitive fringe benefit program including health,
