Supply Chain Management


The Tillman School of Business is seeking applicants for a full-time (9.5 month) business and supply chain management faculty position beginning Fall 2022 (August 1, 2022 start date). The desired candidate will have qualifications enabling them to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in business management, supply chain management logistics, quality management, and/or analytics. Candidates should also possess relevant industrial experience in business management, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. In addition to highly effective teaching and advising, faculty members are expected to engage in scholarship/creative activity and must engage students and colleagues through various student activities, organizations, and/or research.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses delivered in both seated and online formats.  Faculty are expected to record video lectures for online courses.  Candidates should demonstrate success as an instructor in the application of innovative and hands-on teaching techniques.  The ideal candidate will also possess experience and/or certificates that allow the application of principles and theories related to the field of study.  Faculty are encouraged to network with local businesses and organizations to establish internship opportunities for students.

The successful candidate will contribute to the mission of the Tillman School of Business and the University of Mount Olive Covenant.  The candidate will participate in Tillman School of Business activities including collegiate club activities, service to the university, and community involvement.

 Minimum Qualifications:

For undergraduate-level courses, candidates must have an M.S., Master of Science, degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.  The applicant must have taken a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the least two related disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

For undergraduate and graduate-level courses, a Ph.D. or equivalent in the teaching discipline, specifically supply chain management.
