MOOS Day – Mount Olive (College) Opens Spring
MOOS (Mount Olive (College) Opens Spring) Day was held Saturday, April 9 on the campus of University of Mount Olive as a celebration of the beginning of spring.
This year’s event was held in conjunction with new student orientation. Activities included an Ironman obstacle course, triple bungee run challenge, Wild West mechanical bull, water balloon toss, caricature artists, stilt walker, etc. There were also snow cones, cotton candy, and hot doughnuts.
“MOOS Day was a great event,” said Whitney Quinn, a senior biology major from Mount Olive. “Having the event in the area near the baseball and softball fields was a good idea. There
was so much going on around campus, it was hard not to have fun, there was literally something for everyone to enjoy. I really enjoyed the food.”
