The University of Mount Olive is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award the associate, baccalaureate, and master’s degrees. The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration undergraduate programs – Accounting, Bachelor of Business Administration, Business Management, Healthcare Management, and Human Resource Management as well as the Master of Business Administration (MBA), MBA-Healthcare Management, and MBA-Accounting programs in the Tillman School of Business are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), 7007 College Blvd. Suite 420 Overland Park, KS 66211, (913) 339-9366.  The Tillman School of Business is pursuing accreditation from ACBSP for the BSBA in Finance and the BSBS in Marketing in accordance with the prescribed process for new undergraduate programs.

The Human Resource Management program is endorsed by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

The BSN and MSN degree programs at the University of Mount Olive are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, 655 K Street NW, Suite 750, Washington, DC 20001, 202-887-6791.

The Undergraduate and Master of Education programs in the Division of Education are approved by the North Carolina State Board of Education.

UMO’s M.S. in Counseling Program is in the CACREP accreditation application process and is aligned with the CACREP 2016 Standards.  However, the Program is currently not CACREP accredited.

UMO’s M.S. in Counseling Program Clinical Mental Health Counseling specialty is approved as a Criteria C program for licensure as a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS) in the State of North Carolina.
