More About Tim

Tim is the Vice President of Enrollment at UMO. He graduated from UMO in 1987 where he played golf and received a B.S. in Business Management. Tim has spent all but 3 years of his professional career at UMO. He resides in Princeton, NC with his wife Joy and their three kids; Brittany, Maggie, and Ryne.  He loves playing golf and participating in fantasy football. He wakes up every morning thinking what a great day to be a UMO TROJAN!!


Nicole Balsamello
Associate Director of Admissions

More About Nicole

Nicole is the Associate Director of Admissions. Originally from New York, she graduated from Lynchburg College, VA with a B.A. in Music, and from Cardinal Stritch University, WI with a M.S. in Higher Education Student Affairs Leadership. While working as a student employee in the Admissions Office as an undergrad, she developed her love for the field. She’s the wife of alumnus and track and field coach, Justin Potter, and loves the Carolina Panthers! She really enjoys working with students, as well as operating behind the scenes to help the admissions process go smoothly.


Jessie Murphy
Administrative Assistant

More About Jessie

Jessie is the Administrative Assistant in the Admissions Office. Originally from Titusville, FL, she graduated from UMO in May 2011 with a B.A. in Criminal Justice and Criminology. She worked with the NC Department of Social Services before being called back to her alma mater. She currently lives in Mount Olive with her family and three dogs. Just don’t get her started on the Carolina Panthers!


Lindsea Jones

More About Lindsea

Lindsea transferred from the University of Hawaii at Hilo to attend UMO where she graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration in Human Resource Management degree in the spring of 2018. She is from Tioga, Pennsylvania and played volleyball for UMO. She adores the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Penguins. Lindsea’s favorite hobby is traveling. She is excited to share her love for UMO with incoming students.


Rachel Moore

More About Rachel

Born and raised in Goldsboro, Rachel holds a B.A. in History and American Studies from UNC-Chapel Hill and a M.A. in Public History from N.C. State. Before joining the UMO staff, she worked at the Smithsonian, Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello, and the NC State Capitol. Rachel is passionate about history, sports, and loves to cheer on the Carolina Panthers, Tar Heels, and UMO Trojans! She enjoys traveling, meeting new students, and sharing in the excitement of their journey to UMO.

More About Treyvon

Treyvon graduated from the University of Mount Olive in May 2019 with a B.S. in Health & Physical Education and minors in Business and Coaching. A native of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Treyvon enjoys weightlifting, cooking, traveling, watching sports, and cheering on his favorite sports teams; the Carolina Panthers, Chelsea F.C, the LA Lakers, and the UMO Trojans! Treyvon is enthusiastic about sharing his love for UMO with new students and helping them learn about everything that UMO has to offer.


James Sullivan

A native of Princeton, North Carolina, James utilized his Post 9/11 GI Bill to further his education after his military service. James graduated from the University of Mount Olive in May 2020 with a B.S. in Human Resource Management. He enjoys working with new students and helping them learn from his experiences. James and his wife Jessica, along with their two children, enjoy spending free time at the beach.
