The opening reception is scheduled for Saturday, November 17, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Teresa Pelt Grubbs Gallery in Laughinghouse Hall.

Megan Jones, a fine art major from Four Oaks, works in soft pastels. Josiah King, a fine art major from Faison, works in charcoal and acrylic paint. Dawn Magee, a fine art major from Goldsboro, works in pastels. Brianka Morgan, a fine art major from Goldsboro, works in a wide variety of media.

“The art on display represents a culmination of the hard work these students have put forward here at University of Mount Olive,” said Robert E. Murray, chair of the Department of Art and Visual Communication. “As is usually the case, I’ve had the pleasure of working with all these students as their teacher or as an interested faculty member. These seniors have diverse styles and personal aesthetics along with strong creative instincts, which I know will carry them to their next level of endeavor. Come to this show and you will see an impressive level of student work.”
