Braswell Receives Martin Award at UMO
MOUNT OLIVE—The University of Mount Olive presented the 2014 Martin Award to Mikayla Glynn Braswell of Faison at the University’s 60th Spring Commencement.
Braswell is a the daughter of Michael and DeAnna Braswell. At UMO, she majored in psychology and minored in business management and human resources. She was a member of Psi Chi, Delta Mu Delta, Psychology Club, UMO Ambassadors, Supplemental Instructor, Honors Program, NCICU Ethics Bowl Team and a University Marshal. Braswell interns at Guilford Performance Tactics in the HR Department. She attends Faison Presbyterian Church.
The Martin award is given each year in honor of the late Lorelle F. Martin, professor emerita, who taught science at Mount Olive College from 1957 to 1987. The award is presented to the baccalaureate graduate who has the highest academic average. Other requirements indicate that the student must complete his or her entire study at the University of Mount Olive during four years of full-time continuous enrollment.
