MOUNT OLIVE – Country music artist Dustin Lynch is coming to the University of Mount Olive with opening act Aaron Goodvin on Thursday, October 2, at 6 PM in Kornegay Arena. The event is open to the public and advanced tickets are $12 with tickets at the door being $20. This is the fourth annual Fall Fest concert in which the University has brought big named musical performers to its campus.

“When we originally created Fall Fest, we envisioned an annual event that would excite our students and community, and prove that a small school can still have large events with national talent,” said Emily Schneider, director of Student Activities.

According to Schneider, the University seeks to bring a wide array of musical talent to campus to ensure that all students have a chance to enjoy the concert. “We’ve had major Christian, country, and Christian/alternative acts in the past, but this is the first time that we’re bringing someone currently featured on the Billboard Top 100 Chart for their genre. I fully expect Fall Fest 2014 to be our biggest concert yet,” she said.

Some of the most popular hit singles by this CMT Music Award nominee include: Cowboys and Angels, She Cranks My Tractor, Wild in Your Smile, and his most recent single Where It’s At (Yep, Yep). Dustin’s highly anticipated sophomore album, Where It’s At, is set to be released in September.
