El Pasco County Student Receives Award at The University of Mount Olive
MOUNT OLIVE – Sarah J. Baniszewski of Zephyrhills, Florida received The Edwin Sutherland Award and The Senior Citizen Cup at the University of Mount Olive’s Annual Awards Ceremony. J. Baniszewski is a senior criminal justice and criminology major.
The Edwin Sutherland Award is named after a leading figure in criminal justice theory and research. The award is given to the criminal justice student who best exhibits excellence in academics. The recipient is selected by the criminal justice student awards committee.
The Senior Citizenship Cup is presented by the Student Affairs Office to the graduating senior who has evidenced the most outstanding qualities of citizenship during his/her academic career at Mount Olive College. The recipient of this award is selected by a committee of faculty, student, and staff representatives.
