Guests Invited to “Fly Away on a Magic Carpet” for Annual Winter Glitz
MOUNT OLIVE– The University of Mount Olive is preparing for its annual Winter Glitz event which will take place in the Lois K. Murphy Regional Center on February 22, at 6:00 PM. The event costs $75 per person, or $125 per couple.
Hope McPherson Fields, director of Alumni Relations, commented, “Winter Glitz is a wonderful event that gives our alumni the opportunity to get dressed up and taken away to another place for just one night.”
The theme for this year’s event is “Arabian Nights…Fly Away on a Magic Carpet”. Guests will be immersed in an enchanting evening full of entertainment and fine dining. Entertainment this year includes professional piano player Tom Casey, a UMO alumnus and Winter Glitz regular, vocal talent from UMO alumna Kelli Kosuda ’11 and much more!
“While the fun of the evening is exciting, the most important thing is the foundation for which the Winter Glitz was started,” said Fields. “All proceeds from Winter Glitz go towards growing our student scholarships. Our Alumni Association has a passion for helping our students succeed!”
As usual, a live and silent auction will be held to help raise money for scholarship funds for the University. Prizes donated so far include tickets to see Scotty McCreary at The Farm, signed pictures from Lauren Alaina, and much more. To see updates to the auction, visit the UMO Alumni Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/umoalumni).
