Hill Honored with Outstanding Award

MOUNT OLIVE – Jackie Hill, instruction librarian at University of Mount Olive, recently received the Outstanding Contribution to Campus Life Award. Hill is a resident of Deep Run in Lenoir County, where she lives with her husband of 34 years, Doug Hill. They have two children, Adam and Meredith.

The Outstanding Contribution to Campus Life Award is presented to the faculty or staff member that has demonstrated exemplary service in contributing to a transformative campus life experience for the students. This person has shown great personal initiative and sacrifice in contributing to the development of campus life programming on campus. This award is presented when a faculty or staff member demonstrates great personal commitment to furthering the mission of the College through extracurricular pursuits.

In presenting the award to Hill, Dr. Philip P. Kerstetter, president of University of Mount Olive, said, “Jackie is very deserving of this award. She has served on a number of Student Affairs search committees, she mentors students and she is supportive of social events and athletics on campus.”
