Clubs

Student organizations at UMO give agriculture and science students the chance to connect with peers, compete at regional and national levels, and engage with the broader professional community. Whether your passion is farming advocacy, wildlife, livestock, or science outreach, there's a place for you.

Student Organizations
National FFA Organization Collegiate FFA
Collegiate FFA is the flagship agricultural student organization at UMO, extending the experience of the National FFA Organization beyond high school. Members host and coordinate NC and National FFA Conventions, regional rallies, inservice meetings, campus events, and chapter meetings. No prior FFA membership or background is required — Collegiate FFA welcomes everyone.
NC Farm Bureau Partnership Collegiate Young Farmers & Ranchers YF&R
A partnership between NC Farm Bureau and UMO, Collegiate YF&R focuses on agricultural advocacy and the issues facing today's farmers and ranchers. Members compete annually in the Collegiate Discussion Meet and attend NC Farm Bureau and American Farm Bureau events to network and deepen their understanding of the industry.
The Wildlife Society — Local Chapter Trojan Wildlife Society TWS
The Trojan Wildlife Society is UMO's local chapter of The Wildlife Society, an international organization dedicated to global wildlife issues. TWS brings together students passionate about wildlife, fisheries, and environmental and natural resource management — connecting them to a worldwide network of professionals and researchers.
Competitive & Community Animal Science Club
The Animal Science Club gives students hands-on involvement in animal science and livestock competitions. Members participate in collegiate livestock judging, compete in Forage Bowl and Dairy Challenge events, and actively support livestock and animal science on campus and throughout the surrounding community.
Science & Community Outreach Henderson Science Club HSC
The Henderson Science Club is open to any UMO student with a curiosity for science. Activities range from fundraisers like bake sales and car washes to bowling nights and educational trips. Members also play an important role in hosting UMO's annual STEM Day for elementary school students in the community.
