Lassiter Serves on Board of Trustees

MOUNT OLIVE – Donnie E. Lassiter of Selma is serving his fourth year with the University of Mount Olive Board of Trustees on the Business Affairs Committee. Lassiter hopes to aid in the direction and growth of University of Mount Olive. The 30 member Board is charged with the oversight and governance of the College.  University of Mount Olive Trustees have the responsibility of establishing the identity of University of Mount Olive through leading, planning and interpreting.
Lassiter graduated from North Johnston High School in 1970 and earned his bachelor in science from Atlantic Christian College (now Barton College) in 1974. He is the co-founder of Heartland Payment Systems, Inc. In addition to serving on the MOC Board of Trustees, Lassiter is involved with the Johnston County Chapter of Ducks Unlimited. As a member of Selma Original Free Will Baptist Church, Lassiter has served the Church as deacon, trustee and Sunday school superintendent.
Lassiter is married to Linda Vann Lassiter.
