Lenoir County Student Receives Award
MOUNT OLIVE – Anna Strickland of La Grange received the W. Burkette Raper Religion Student of the Year at the University of Mount Olive’s Annual Awards Ceremony. Strickland is a senior religion major. The W. Burkette Raper Outstanding Student in Religion is given to an outstanding graduating student on the basis of academic excellence. This award is given in honor of Dr. W. Burkett Raper, president of The University of Mount Olive from 1954—1995.
The University of Mount Olive is a private institution rooted in the liberal arts tradition with defining Christian values.
