Life Lessons from Thornton Wilder’s Our Town

The University of Mount Olive Theatre presented Thornton Wilder’s Our Town during the weekend of February 21-23. Covering a span of 12 years (1901-1913), the production followed the lives of two neighboring families through daily life, love and marriage, and death. The play emphasized the importance of fully living into the present moment, caring for others, and appreciating the wonder of life. UMO’s new stage lights set the mood and enhanced the minimalist set envisioned by Wilder.
