May 2025 Graduation

Students who have applied for May graduation have received an email detailing the graduation ticketing process. Which includes the points below:

• Graduating students do not need a ticket.
• Each graduate will receive 4 tickets for seats in Korengay Arena and 2 tickets for overflow seating in Southern Bank Auditorium.
• All guests will be required to have a ticket, including young children. No strollers or balloons will be allowed in Kornegay Arena.
• Guest tickets are not available for sale.
• Tickets will be distributed to degree candidates through their UMO email during the week of April 1 – 4, 2025. The student’s account must be in good standing in order for guest tickets to be released.
• No live-streaming during the graduation speaker’s speech.

After students have claimed their initial tickets and the number of available seats is established, an email will be sent to eligible graduates during the week of April 23 – 30, 2025 with more information on how to obtain extra tickets.

• Graduates should report to Pope Wellness Center (next to Kornegay Arena) in their regalia at 8:30 am for check-in. Graduates are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes.
• During check-in, graduates will receive any honor cords and the directions for school line-up in preparation for commencement.

• Guests may begin entering Kornegay Arena and Southern Bank Auditorium at 9:00 am through the designated doors. Entrance at other doors will not be permitted.
• Tickets must be readily available for scan at the time of entry for each guest entering into the arena and auditorium. There will be no reentry to the arena after a ticket has been scanned.
• Guests should select seating on the first floor of the arena to allow clearance of the aisles and back wall in preparation for the graduates to arrive and throughout the ceremony. Devices are requested to be muted throughout the ceremony.
• Upon completion of the ceremony, guests should await the graduates’ exit and plan to exit the two arena doors that were used for entry. Exiting the doors near the stage will not be permitted.
