Mecklenburg County Student Receives Award at University of Mount Olive

MOUNT OLIVE- Tyler Jameson of Charlotte received the Outstanding Recreation and Leisure Studies Student of the Year Award at University of Mount Olive’s Annual Awards Ceremony.  Jameson, a senior sports management major, is the son of Chris and Lisa Jameson.  Jameson is the president of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, team captain of the soccer team, and a member of the Honors Program.
The Outstanding Recreation/Leisure Studies Award is given by the RLS Alumni Scholarship fund to a senior who has demonstrated outstanding scholarship and service/leadership capabilities.  The recipient must have completed at least 92 semester hours (30 of which must be from MOC), and 48 semester hours of RLS course work at University of Mount Olive.
