Mitrovic Receives Award at University of Mount Olive
MOUNT OLIVE- Aleksandar Mitrovic of Westmount, Canada was recognized as the recipient of the Outstanding Mathematics Student Award (applied) at University of Mount Olive’s Annual Awards Ceremony. Mitrovic is a senior mathematics major.
The Outstanding Mathematics Student Award (applied) is given to an upper-class student that excels in mathematics as determined by the mathematics faculty. Applied mathematics is a branch of mathematics that concerns itself with mathematical methods that are typically used in science, engineering, business, and industry. A plaque is awarded to the distinguished recipient.
