MOC Beats Eastern NC Record
During University of Mount Olive’s Holocaust Day of Remembrance over 80 students helped pack meals for Stop Hunger Now. Campus Chaplain Carla Williamson said, “Words cannot express how grateful I am to everyone for all of your help during the Holocaust Day of Remembrance and especially for helping pack meals.” With the help of such groups as CAB, Campus Ministry groups, the Thank-a-Thon group, Honors Class, CFFA, the women’s soccer team, Institutional Advancement and others, the College broke the Eastern North Carolina Stop Hunger record. The record had previously been 10,000 meals packed in one hour and 10 minutes. University of Mount Olive packed 10,167 meals in 45 minutes! “Thank you all for caring, and may God bless each of you always!” Williamson stated.
