MOC Concert Choir Performs Trial By Jury

The Mount Olive Concert Choir recently performed one of Gilbert & Sullivan’s most beloved operas –  “Trial by Jury.”  The performance included a cast of colorful characters, a healthy dose of comedy and charm, and an undeniably witty plot.  Lead roles were held by Sara McDaris of Wilson in the role of Angelina, the Plaintiff, and Joshua King of Faison in the role of the Defendant.
Guest Director Dr. Jim Waddelow from Meredith College and the Raleigh Symphony Orchestra, along with Mount Olive Concert Choir Director Risa Poniros collaborated on the production.  Mr. Jim Burnettte, often seen in many productions in Durham, N.C. with the Durham Savoyards, sang the role of the Learned Judge.  The Meredith College Sinfonietta also performed in the production.
