Mount Olive College Students Receives NCRTA Scholarship

University of Mount Olive senior recreational therapy student Felicia Dracz received an impressive scholarship from the North Carolina Recreational Therapy Association (NCRTA). She was awarded the NCRTA Past President’s Scholarship at the annual awards ceremony held at the Hilton in Raleigh, NC in October. She competed with both undergraduate and graduate recreational therapy students across the state. This is the first time a University of Mount Olive student has received this honor. “As her major professor and past president of NCRTA, I am particularly pleased she received this award,” said Dr. Janet Albers. A total of seven MOC recreational therapy students attended the annual state conference. “It was a great way for them to support their peer being recognized and to attend professional sessions in their field. All of the students truly represented MOC well,” Albers continued.
