Mount Olive College At Washington To Host Financial Aid Workshop
WASHINGTON – University of Mount Olive at Washington will hold a Financial Aid Workshop on Saturday, February 25, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon. Registration for this event is free. Students and perspective students will be able to check in for the financial aid workshops in the lobby of the MOC at Washington located at4525 Hwy 264 West.
The workshop will assist students in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Completing the FAFSA form is a requirement to be considered for all federal and most state financial aid for college, including scholarships and grants. In addition to assistance in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, there will be face-to-face time with a financial aid representative, opportunities to have any general questions about financial aid answered as well as advice on managing your student loans.
To be fully prepared to complete the FAFSA on February 25th, event participants should bring the following items to FAFSA Day: federal 1040 tax forms for 2010 (or W-2 forms and other income and asset documents if completed tax forms are not available); the student’s Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) obtained in advance from the U.S. Department of Education website, https://www.ed.gov/; and a FAFSA on the Web Worksheet with as much information entered as possible.
