Pitt County Students Receive Awards at MOC
MOUNT OLIVE – Two Pitt County students were recognized for their achievements at University of Mount Olive’s Annual Awards Ceremony. Among those receiving awards were:
Beverly Bryant of Grifton received the Kathleen B. Warren Outstanding Vocalist award. Bryant is a sophomore music voice major. The Kathleen B. Warren Outstanding Vocalist award is a scholarship in honor of Kathleen B. Warren, professor Emeritus of Music, who taught voice at University of Mount Olive from 1958—1981. The award is given to a returning student selected by the music faculty for outstanding musical ability.
Melissa Carlyle of Greenville received The Outstanding Nursing Student of the Year award. Carlyle is a senior nursing major.
