Pitt County Students Receive Awards at The University of Mount Olive
MOUNT OLIVE – Several Pitt County students were recognized for their achievements at The University of Mount Olive’s Annual Awards Ceremony. Among those receiving awards were:
Melinda Ferguson of Greenville received the Health Care Management Student of the Year Award. Ferguson is a senior health care management major.
Robert L. Reynolds, Jr. of Winterville received the The Don Miller Award. L. Reynolds, Jr. is a senior criminal justice and criminology major. The Don Miller Award is given in memory of Detective Donald A. Miller, a Criminal Justice Department graduate and New Bern Police officer who gave his life in the line of duty. The award is given to the criminal justice student who best demonstrates academic prowess in the classroom and professionalism in the criminal justice field. The recipient is selected by the criminal justice student awards committee.
