Planning Session Set for University of Mount Olive Dinner

MOUNT OLIVE- The planning session for the 2011 Lenoir County gift support dinner for University of Mount Olive will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 15, at La Grange OFWB Church, La Grange.

During the session, Jean F. Ackiss, director of Church Support at University of Mount Olive will give a presentation about the College.  She will also coordinate final plans for the dinner, as well as distribute the dinner literature.

The 2011 Lenoir County dinner is one of 16 being held throughout eastern North Carolina.  According to Ackiss, “The dinners have provided more than 12 million dollars in gift support since they were started in 1963.  This unrestricted gift support from Original Free Will Baptist churches helps University of Mount Olive expand its services to students, the Original Free Will Baptist Church, and the region.”

University of Mount Olive is a private institution rooted in the liberal arts tradition with defining Christian values.
