The Office of Public Relations at the University of Mount Olive provides relevant news focusing on the people and programs of the University to the media, the public and to our internal audiences with the goal of increasing the awareness of the University as an institution that is transforming lives and transforming education.

By raising the visibility of the University of Mount Olive, we help the University attract and retain a diverse, academically talented applicant pool, student body and faculty. It is also our goal to gain the respect and support of philanthropic individuals and organizations.

We employ a number of public relations tools and methods to achieve these goals. Primary among them are the development of news releases and the twice-annual publication of the UMO Today, the University’s alumni magazine. The Office of Public Relations also provides a variety of communication services to our University departments, including photo services and media relations.

The Office of Marketing works alongside Public Relations to develop and maintain the University’s brand identity, digital presence, and promotional materials. Our team supports recruitment, advancement, and institutional communications through strategic marketing initiatives.

We oversee social media, video production, and other content-driven messaging — collaborating with departments across campus to ensure consistent, compelling communications that reflect UMO’s mission and values.
