Members of the Craven County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit visited campus on Monday, October 4 as part of the CJC 355 class. They preformed drug and article searches, firearm identification, and bite work. The students asked a lot of relevant questions, with may of them staying over to have one-onone conversations with the Deputies.
Three student liaison agents assisted with setting up and operating the demos. They also presented the deputies with gifts for the dogs (treats and tennis balls) and cards and University lapel pins for the handlers.
