UMO to Hold Trojan-Trot 5K

MOUNT OLIVE- The University of Mount Olive (UMO) will host the second annual Trojan-Trot 5K on Saturday, November 22, at 9 AM. The event provides an opportunity for students, alumni, and the community to gather and walk or run around the town of Mount Olive during the UMO homecoming weekend.

“Last year our Trojan Trot was a great success,” said Hope Fields, director Alumni Relations. “We had lots of runners from UMO and the community come out and participate. I consider it a success any time we can get our alumni, students, and community together. I look forward to another great year!”

The 5K course makes a single loop through the town of Mount Olive, which starts at Kornegay Arena and includes running through the beautiful campus of UMO. There is also a 1.5 Mile Fun Run/Walk option for participants.

Registration can be done online at https://runsignup.com/trojantrot. The registration cost for the 5K is $20.00 and $10.00 for UMO students. The cost for the 1.5 Mile Fun Run/Walk is $15.00.

The Trojan-Trot 5K is hosted by the University of Mount Olive Alumni Association. For more information about the event, please contact Hope Fields by email at hfields@umo.edu.
