UMO to Host Chamber Ensemble Double Take

MOUNT OLIVE – The chamber ensemble Double Take is set to perform at the University of Mount Olive (UMO) on Tuesday, March 27, at 7:30 PM. This performance will take place in the Hazel Waters Kornegay Assembly Hall located at 207 Wooten Street in Mount Olive.  The event is free and open to the public.

Formed in the fall of 1994 by Dr. Sheryl Linch-Parker on trumpet and Dr. Don Parker on percussion, Double Take performs a blend of contemporary and traditional styles. Double Take provides a unique musical, cultural, and educational experience for audiences of all ages. With the exploration of different sound textures and colors, this ensemble has enticed its listeners with an intensity that reflects an honest approach towards new music that all can understand and enjoy. The performance is supported by a grass roots grant from the North Carolina Arts Council and the Arts Council of Wayne County.
