UMO to Offer Free Concert as A Gift of Hope and Promise
MOUNT OLIVE –The University of Mount Olive (UMO) is holding a FREE concert featuring the internationally acclaimed group Acappella. Scheduled for Wednesday, October 3, at 7 PM in Southern Bank Auditorium, the concert is part of UMO’s Presidential Inauguration Week.
“As the new President and First Lady of the University of Mount Olive, Mary and I wanted to give something to the campus and community,” said Dr. David Poole. “Our region has experienced great adversity and hardship over the past few weeks due to Hurricane Florence. This concert will be a way for us to come together as a community to celebrate hope for the future and the promise of new beginnings.”
A member of the Christian Music Hall of Fame, Acappella has toured the globe since 1982. Attendees of their concerts experience the awesome versatility and flexibility of the human voice as the group provides beautiful, intricate music without ever plucking a string or beating a drum.
No tickets are required. However, seating for the event will be limited, and available on a first come, first served basis.
