Student Art Show Set for April 19

MOUNT OLIVE- The University of Mount Olive will hold its annual spring student art show on Tuesday, April 19.  The opening reception will be held from 4 to 6 PM in Laughinghouse Hall.  The event is FREE and the public is invited to attend.

This year’s show will exhibit student work from different classes and levels. The student work will include drawing, painting, printmaking, book making, photography, ceramics, and graphic design.

“Some of these students are just beginning their experience with the visual arts,” said Bob Murray, Chair of the Department of Fine Arts.  “Others are concluding their experience, and preparing to use the creative thought processes they have learned as they begin the next phase of their journey.”

The show will feature the following eight seniors: Harrison Aiken a graphic design major from Atlanta, GA;  Kyle Gauthier, a graphic design major from Warsaw, NC; Hayden King, a graphic design major from Woodbridge, VA; Emmanuel Lassiter, a graphic design major from Rocky Mount, NC; Jason Lilley, a graphic design major from Swansboro, NC; Candice Lockett, a graphic design and art double major from Birmingham, England; Nykie Pray, a graphic design major from Lynchburg, VA; and Tanner Smith, a    a graphic design and photography double major from Goldsboro, NC.
