University of Mount Olive Names Homecoming King and Queen
MOUNT OLIVE – Michael Huggins of Miami, FL and Kayla Meza of Wallace, NC were named as the 2013 University of Mount Olive Homecoming King and Queen during the 48th annual Pickle Classic Tournament.
Sixteen students were nominated by their peers to participate in this year’s Homecoming Court. The winners were selected by the student body.
Huggins, son of Jack and Barbara Huggins, is a junior criminal justice major. He plays on the Club Lacrosse team, is a Resident Assistant, serves as vice president for the Criminal Justice Club and is an active member of the Campus Activity Board (CAB). In his spare time, Huggins enjoys working out, hanging out with friends, and watching sports.
Meza, daughter of Karen Pacheco, is a senior exercise science major. She is a member of the soccer team and serves as the Head Resident Assistant. She enjoys playing soccer, spending time with family and friends, leisure reading, hanging at the beach, listening to music and running.
The Homecoming King and Queen will represent University of Mount Olive at the NC Pickle Festival and the Mount Olive Christmas Parade, among other functions.
