University of Mount Olive Names Homecoming King and Queen

 

MOUNT OLIVE – Phillip Waters of Pinetown, NC and Alexandra Crawford of Duluth, GA, were named as the 2014 University of Mount Olive Homecoming King and Queen during the 49thannual Pickle Classic Tournament.

Sixteen students were nominated by their peers to participate in this year’s Homecoming Court. The winners were selected by the student body.

Waters, son of Michael and Teresa Waters, is a junior agriculture education major.  He is a tour guide, Resident Assistant, peer mentor, and a member of Future Farmers of America (FFA). Waters enjoys hunting and fishing.

Crawford, daughter of Michael and Kelley Crawford, is a senior exercise science major.  She is a member of the lacrosse team. In her free time, she enjoys playing lacrosse, lying on the couch watching Vampire Diaries, reading and spending time with her teammates and family.

The Homecoming King and Queen will represent UMO at the NC Pickle Festival and the Mount Olive Christmas Parade, among other functions.
