University of Mount Olive to Host Career Fair on March 20

MOUNT OLIVE—The University of Mount Olive Student Success Center will host its annual Career Fair on Thursday, March 20, from 9:30 AM to 12 Noon in Kornegay Arena. Business representatives will provide students and alumni with valuable opportunities to explore career paths and enhance their job search strategies.

“Career fairs offer an essential platform for students to make connections and gain firsthand insights into potential career opportunities,” said Dr. Angela Kearney, UMO’s Executive Director of the Learning Commons. “This event is not just about finding a job—it’s about building relationships, understanding industry expectations, and positioning oneself for long-term career success.”

Kearney noted that with hidden job market opportunities, networking is a crucial job search strategy. “We encourage all students, regardless of class standing, to attend. Underclass students, in particular, can explore internships, which are an excellent way to gain experience and test potential career interests,” she said.
