Carteret County Student Receives Award at University of Mount Olive

MOUNT OLIVE- Stephanie Davis of New Port received the M. L. Johnson Award at the annual awards event at University of Mount Olive.  Davis, a senior healthcare management major, began a career in healthcare 25 years ago as a laboratory technician.  She will begin pursuing an MBA this fall.
The M.L. Johnson Business Award is a scholarship in memory of M.L. Johnson (1916—1969) the first Treasurer/Business Manager of University of Mount Olive (1951 – 1961).  The scholarship is given to a rising senior selected by the business faculty for greatest promise in the field of business.
University of Mount Olive is a private institution rooted in the liberal arts tradition with defining Christian values.
