Rowan County Student Receives Award at University of Mount Olive
MOUNT OLIVE- William Alvin Camps III of Cleveland has received the William L. Warren Instrumentalist Award at University of Mount Olive. Camps, a freshman music education major, is the son of William Camps, Sr. and Angela Camps. He is a member of the Gospel Choir, Symphonic Band and the Percussion Ensemble at University of Mount Olive.
The William L. Warren Outstanding Instrumentalist scholarship was begun in 1996 by Mr. Kathleen B. Warren in memory of her husband, William L. Warren, and is given to a student for outstanding instrumental music accomplishment. The recipient is selected by the music faculty.
