Craven County Student Receives Award at Mount Olive College

MOUNT OLIVE- Jonathan Whitford of New Bern received the Charles B. and Margenette A. Hinnant Music Scholarship at the Annual Awards Event at University of Mount Olive.  Whitford, a freshman music education major, is the son of Sarah Whitford.

The Charles B. and Margenette A. Hinnant Music Scholarship is given in memory of both Margenette A. Hinnant and Charles B. Hinnant, a former trustee of University of Mount Olive. The recipient, a music major who exhibits exceptional talent, is chosen by the music faculty.

University of Mount Olive is a private institution rooted in the liberal arts tradition with defining Christian values.
