Cumberland County Residents Receives Award at Mount Olive College
MOUNT OLIVE- Lauren Condon of Fayetteville received the Outstanding Research Award at University of Mount Olive’s Annual Awards Ceremony. Condon, the daughter of Ann and John Condon, is a senior biology major and chemistry minor. The award is given to the best research/presentation by a senior as judged by faculty and/or peers at a local, state, or regional meeting. Condon received a plaque.
Condon recently took third place honors at the North Carolina Academy of Science in the John Bowley Derieux Research Award for Oral Presentation category Behavioral Biology. Condon’s research dealt with looking into mechanisms that allow animals to use the Earth’s magnetic field for navigation.
