University of Mount Olive welcomed 78 new students and their family members to campus on Saturday, April 13, for the first of three Admitted Student Days.  Student participants were officially welcomed to campus by President and First Lady Philip and Mary Kerstetter.  Incoming students learned about academic processes, were informed of campus programs and services, registered for classes, and accepted their financial aid packages.  “The next time these students come to campus will be on August 17, 2013 as new University of Mount Olive Trojans!,” said Meg Dutnell,  director of Campus Life.  In conjunction with Admitted Student Days, the College held Spring Fest 2013, a campus-wide, carnival style event with games, food, and rides.  “This carnival is a great way to celebrate the closing of a successful school year,” said Justin Roe, assistant director of Campus Life. “Without the help of the students on the Campus Activities Board, both during and after the event, Spring Fest 2013 would not have been possible.  They did a great job!”
