Music Faculty Recital to Feature Armstrong and Kaufman

MOUNT OLIVE – University of Mount Olive will host a Music Faculty Recital at 7:30 p.m. on October 11, in Rodgers Chapel. The recital will feature pianist and cellist Dr. Alan Armstrong along with clarinetist Kevin Kaufman as a guest artist.
Dr. Armstrong and Kaufman will perform the Concertino, Opus 26 for clarinet and piano by Carl Maria von Weber, and will be joined by violist Dee Braxton-Pellegrino for the Trio in E-flat K. 498 (“Kegelstatt”) of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.  Dr. Armstrong will then move to the cello for the “American” Quartet by Antonin Dvorak, in honor of Columbus Day.  Besides Armstrong and Pellegrino, the quartet will feature Christopher Ellis, adjunct instructor of strings on first violin, and Sherry Lattin on second violin.
