O’Brien Named Advisor of the Year at MOC
MOUNT OLIVE – Dr. Sonya McCoy O’Brien, Assistant Professor of business at University of Mount Olive and Advisor of Phi Beta Lambda, recently received the 2010 Club Advisor of the Year Award.
Given in recognition of a Club Advisor who has shown remarkable leadership and dedication, this award was presented to O’Brien for her untiring efforts and enthusiasm for Phi Beta Lambda. Through Dr. O’Brien’s guidance, Phi Beta Lambda has participated in numerous community service projects and has been active in state and national conferences.
According to her students, Dr. O’Brien’s commitment to the club allows them to, “gain leadership and business skills that will benefit us when we graduate. Through her leadership, PBL has brought home many state and national awards.”
