TSB Hosts Guest Speaker Raymond Johnson

Raymond Johnson, Senior Advisor and Consultant for Public Consulting Group of Raleigh, spoke with the UMO accounting, auditing and healthcare management students on Monday, November 1. As a senior consultant, Johnson is responsible for the preparation and implementation of Cost Allocation Plans (CAP) for numerous county, city, and state agencies. Students were interested in his efforts to develop department-wide cost allocation plans.

In addition to the application of cost accounting concepts, Johnson spoke with students about how auditing principles relate to the “real world,” especially in relation to healthcare.  He specializes in Healthcare Auditing, which follows accounting principles as well as government (CMS) regulations.

He commented, “I have been fortunate to have worked on the flipside of auditing, having been audited as well as serving as the auditor.” Raymond Johnson is also the father of Cole Johnson, a UMO accounting major and economics minor, and a guard on the Trojan basketball team.
