MOUNT OLIVE – One of the most anticipated spring traditions at the University of Mount Olive is the annual student Easter dinner. During this special occasion, students are asked to make reservations and dress in business casual attire. Faculty and staff volunteer to serve students.

“Easter dinner always brings a lot of joy to our students,” says Direct of Student Activities JuJu Spray. “It is something out of the norm for them and they just love being part of it!”

Over 300 students attended this year’s event.  Which included a menu of ham, chicken alfredo, mashed potatoes, green beans, mac and cheese, sweet potatoes, dinner rolls, and a variety of desserts.

“The students definitely left with big smiles on their faces,” Spray said. “We could not make this event happen without the dining hall staff, our faculty and staff, the CAB students who make  student reservations, and the CAB students who help decorate the dining hall.”

The University of Mount Olive is a private institution rooted in the liberal arts tradition with defining Christian values. The University is sponsored by the Convention of Original Free Will Baptists. For more information, visit www.umo.edu.
